Therapist Overview
Whatever brings you here, we can take a look at it together and get to a place that’s better for you. My job is to collaborate with you using research-backed therapy practices to help you clarify your needs, enhance your skills, and gain new understanding about whatever is challenging you. A little about my style: I believe in the power of teamwork; you’re not alone in this, you’ll have me as your ally and support; I often include theory and learning about mental health because I believe it’s empowering to understand the “why” behind therapy; I like to provide opportunities for homework, skills practice and reflection outside of session. I have experience helping children, adolescents, adults, and families. I approach therapy with the perspective that people are shaped by their experiences, resources, families, culture, and society just as much as they are by their innate traits and capacities. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is my primary modality. I am also a certified yoga teacher.
