I have a strong belief that people know themselves best and I honor that by listening to my clients' strengths and building a treatment plan that utilizes their strengths and is based on their goals for therapy. I start with the least intrusive and more gentle approaches and then move toward more intense treatment modalities, if those are needed.
My approach to therapy varies based on where the client wants to start. I believe it is important to meet the client where they are and build on the strengths of an individual. I believe it is highly important to meet clients where they are - this looks so different with everyone. Through a comprehensive assessment, I will work with the client and/or family to identify what treatment goals are needed. Once we determine what is needed, then we will make goals together that are realistic for client to meet and report a less symptoms.
