I am a “realistic optimist”. I believe that when we work wisely and have opportunity many positive outcomes will happen. I’d like to use my experience in many contexts, e.g., academic, inpatient, outpatient clinics, community, prisons, and military settings to help people obtain their goals. I am nonjudgmental and I do not believe blaming is helpful. I hope to provide a positive, safe environment to develop a trusting relationship that will be helpful for you. I’ve worked providing mental health treatment for nearly 20 years. I am able to use several kinds of therapy and individualize treatment plans. I have training in evidence based treatments for: depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, anger management, insomnia, and chronic pain.
