Life is like the ocean. Most of the time, it’s smooth sailing in calm waters. Sometimes, the waves get rough, we lose sight of the shore, or may even find ourselves adrift. Counseling can be a safe place of acceptance and compassion where client and therapist work together to help anchor the client back to their personal place of hope and well-being. My approach to therapy is grounded in the emotional human experience, with a Christian framework. I love to work with individuals and couples. My specialties include relationship issues, anxiety, depression, adjustment/phase of life, and spiritual concerns. Our emotions provide important information to us. Distress often results when we avoid our emotions or are not able to regulate them. The way back to hope and well-being can often be found in learning how to engage with emotion which helps to re-write our narrative of self or the narrative of our relationships.
