Therapist Overview

My approach to therapy is founded in the value of the therapeutic relationship. It is important that my clients feel heard and validated with a sense of security as they explore their experiences of both suffering and success. I believe that each individual I have the honor to work with is an expert in their lives and my role is to help facilitate a joint process of exploring solutions, skills, and building existing strengths necessary to live more peacefully and authentically. I function from a strength based approach and work hard to remove as much of the power differential that occurs in a helping relationship. I have 10 years of experience in a variety of settings working with individuals and families. I consider my theoretical approach to be eclectic in that I utilize a variety of approaches to meet a client’s needs. I am also a certified holistic health coach and have worked with women around developing dietary and lifestyle practices that are sustainable and support the life the
