Therapist Overview

I provide telehealth psychotherapy. As a social worker, I am highly attuned to the daily social, institutional, and communal injustices that impact people of different minority statuses. My counseling philosophy is grounded in trauma-informed practices, meaning I value collaboration, empowerment, and emotional and physical safety above all else. Through counseling, clients will gain a richer understanding of themselves while working towards self-determined goals. I am available for teletherapy or video therapy evenings and weekends. While I have experience working with people experiencing a variety of mental health needs, I am especially sensitive to those impacted by LGBTQ issues, trauma, and depression. To supplement a trauma-informed practice, I often consider CBT, mindfulness, ACT, narrative and solution-focused therapies when supporting a client. Reaching out to a new therapist can feel overwhelming and intimidating. I want to recognize the courage you have to start this journey and encourage you to take the next step. When you’re ready, contact me and I’ll get back to you shortly. Please visit https://bbcounselingservices.clientsecure.me for immediate scheduling availability.
