Therapist Overview
Have you been hurt by a failed relationship, felt disconnected, or lonely? Been fearful or experienced hopelessness? Or have you been in an intense fog, desperate to climb out of the dark pit of grief? You are not alone. I work with couples, families, teens, and adult individuals looking to foster connection, security, healing, and hope. I work with relationship experiences and patterns that don’t offer what you need, the hurt or loss of a failed relationship, young relationships, long-term marriages, military couples, adoption, and couples living with loss. In couples therapy, I utilize Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy to explore the different ways each partner deals with emotions and conflict. Together, we go beneath your cycle to de-escalate conflict, find new ways to ask for what you need, become more responsive to one another, heal unresolved hurts, deepen emotional intimacy, and create lasting change. When working with teen families my goal is to develop a secure base where relationships are supportive, comforting, nurturing, and open, and your teen can be their most authentic self. I work with individuals dealing with grief/loss, adoption, identity, anxiety, depression, isolation, life transitions, military life, trauma, and issues from childhood.
