Therapist Overview
I have over 18 years of experience of working with individuals and families, first in child welfare, and then in mental health/spiritual counseling. I have a Ph. D in Counseling, and am an Interfaith Minister. I work with clients desiring to include all of the aspects of the self in therapy- emotional and spiritual. Anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, and difficulties in relationships are all areas where I can offer creative, heart-centered solutions grounded in the values and beliefs of the client. I also have a signficant amount of experience working with individuals and families affected by Autism Spectrum Disorder. The work I do is centered in developing self-compassion and a belief in the inherent wisdom of every person. I offer strategies to enhance a deeper awareness of and connection to the self, healing from relational trauma, and developing skills to maintain balance in life. Emotional difficulties, trauma, and stress can feel overpowering. I am happy to work with you to deepen your understanding of and connection to your self and to work together to find contentment in home, work and play.
