Therapist Overview
Hi! I have 40 years of experience treating adults, couples, families, seniors with their emotional issues and interpersonal problems who now feel overwhelmed and vulnerable by the virus. Let my compassionate and solution focused approach be of help dealing with this increased anxiety, depression and personal and financial uncertainity brought on by Covid-19. Through a Cognitive Behavior Therapy approach, we work to increase your strenghts, identify vulnerabilities and then develop and implement a unique behavior plan to improve your daily functioning and overall mental health. I have found great success in combining a Solution Focus approach with Indepth Psychotherapy. I have treated relatives for trauma and loss from 9/11 and our soldiers with PTSD and depression returning from Iraq and and Afghanistan. I use Zoom, Skype and cell. I look forward to meeting you for an initial free session to explore working together. My post- graduate training includes Westchester Behavior Therapy Institute, Training Institute of Mental Health and Psychotherapy, The Ackerman Family Institute. I believe my friendly and positive personality couple with my clinical and business experience can provide personal growth and greater insight and emotional well being.
