Therapist Overview
My PhD research was extensively in trauma and ADHD. I use the Strength-based theory that emphasizes people’s self-determination and strengths. I work on assessing the whole person. I assess for their learning style as I believe this to be helpful with how a treatment is implemented. Following are other therapies I implement: CBT, TF-CBT, DBT for adults and adolescents. I work with couples, adolescents, and adults. I have worked with addictive disorders as well. I am not seeing children at this time. It is too difficult using just teleheath. . I begin with a thorough psychosocial assessment that will include a person’s history involving a genogram of family backgroun I try and get right to the issue without spending lots of time dancing around the problem. This way more time can be spent on helping the person with the issue. I am a Christian and am happy to implement that as a basis when requested by the client
