Therapist Overview
I has been in private practice since 1989 after beginning his work with clients as a therapist at the Huntsville-Madison County Mental Health Center in 1979. I use an integrative approach in working with a wide range of ages and psychological problems. I work with cognitive behavioral,, interpersonal, family systems, hypnosis and EMDR. I believe that every client is an expert on his/her life and that they can find their strengths, insight, understanding and resilience to improve their quality of life. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an essential element in the process of change. In establishing that, there are ways of approaching problems that help discover their causes and the barriers to change. We work to establish strengths and use them to improve his/her mindset about their ability to make a positive difference in their life. My experience, knowledge and desire to help each of my clients provides an opening for them to a better, sustainable psychological functioning. I believe that working together we can find ways to make a lasting difference that will enrich and enhance each day.
