Therapist Overview
I believe therapy works best when the therapist and client work together to identify, understand, and work through the issues in their lives. I am an Associate Professional Counselor who studied at Brenau University. I work with children, teenagers, and young adults. I am also passionate about working with LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. I believe in partnering with my clients to assist them in understanding their emotions and behaviors. I am trained in play therapy techniques, and I like to use creative interventions in addition to open dialogues in session to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all of my clients. I have experience with play therapy and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques. I have also had trainings on treating eating disorders, behavioral disorders, anxiety, and trauma. My approach combines cognitive behavioral and choice based therapy with creative, person centered techniques to tailor therapy for each individual client. I am under the direction of Daron Elam at Summit’s Edge Counseling, and under the supervision of Rico Curtis-Davidson at Positive Impact Health Centers.
