Do you have anxiety about how your body serves you? Complex health issues, chronic pain, perfectionism, medical providers who don’t listen, or changing abilities can make us long for a body that’s not ours. This can lead to depression and unhealthy behavior. I will work with you, teaching you to manage your frustrations, and help you start looking forward to life again. After struggling with chronic illness, I learned how difficult it is. It changed how I saw myself. No matter your struggle, I can help you get unstuck and start to accept what you cannot change using an array of therapy modalities chosen for you. I have experience working at an inpatient eating disorder hospital on an interdisciplinary team, working at an outpatient substance use disorder clinic, and with cancer patients. I can help you connect with others who have similar illnesses, help you understand or find your diagnosis, explain the biases within the healthcare field, and provide resources. I constantly seek additional training to build my skills. I believe you are an expert on your life; I can only act as an ally. I believe it is an honor to sit with you through difficult times.
