Therapist Overview
Many people view going to therapy as a sign of weakness or failure. I believe utilizing therapy is a sign of strength and bravery. I enjoy working collaboratively with clients to better understand themselves and make meaning of their experiences. My role as a therapist is to be with my clients, help them feel heard, validated and understood. I’ve worked with children and families in a therapeutic setting for 10 years. I specialize in infant and early childhood mental health, trauma, anxiety, depression, relational difficulties and life transitions. I especially enjoy working with parents during times of pregnancy and postpartum. I am trained in Child Parent Psycotherapy, an evidenced based treatment that strengthens parent child relationships and helps healing from trauma. I am also trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy, an evidenced based treatment that helps adolescents and teens heal from trauma.
