Therapist Overview
I believe that we all deserve a life that is fulfilling, enriching, empowered and allows for connection and relationship and an understanding of self. I work with adolescents, adults and families on issues related to anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and relationships. I am particularly interested in working with people of color and marginalized communities to destigmatize mental health and to foster wellness. I specialize in providing trauma-informed therapy which centers on an awareness of the complex impact trauma (any perceived trauma) has on a person’s efforts to cope and navigate the world. Our work will include a holistic approach that focuses on the totality of who you are and the intersectionality’s in which you exist. I bring a strength-based, collaborative and integrative approach to my therapeutic practice. I draw upon Attachment, & Relatinal, Cognitive-Behavioral, Sensorimotor, EMDR, Parts Work and trauma-informed concepts and techniques to inform my practice.
