Therapist Overview
I believe through self-discovery and acceptance one can overcome any obstacle. A relationship between a client and therapist can be a unique opportunity to overcome life’s hurdles. I offer my experience, observations, and healthy alternatives to the many challenges that may arise in life. I enjoy the work I do and I look forward to working with you! I can see adults, adolescents, children (age 6 and above), couples and families at risk or battling substance use, needing mental health help, or trauma focused therapy. Email or call me to determine if I’m a good fit for working with you or your loved one(s). I’m trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), a highly effective therapy designed to assist in overcoming traumatic memories; however, EMDR can also be used in other areas related to mental health, substance use, and/or trauma (co-occurring) such as depression, anxiety, addiction, child/adolescent issues and trauma & other struggles. I also utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, art-based interventions, play therapy, and other therapies within individual, couples, and family sessions for all mental and substance use issues. Questions are appreciated and welcomed. I’m at New Leaf Counseling (NW OKC/Edmond). You can also visit my webpage for more information.
