Therapist Overview
My entire practice is geared towards meeting the needs of today’s woman. From the challenges of adolescence to the shock of having an empty nest and everything in between. I believe that the struggles that occur across a woman’s lifespan deserve special attention and an approach that specifically meets her needs. This is especially true for women of color who experience a unique stress associated with being a member of an ethnic minority group in the United States. As an experienced health psychologist, I specialize in raising my client’s awareness of the mind-body connection. This interplay is particularly important in my areas of specialty which include eating disorders, postpartum concerns, women of color, anxiety, and depression. I offer in-office and online individual therapy and Family Based Treatment (FBT). Every woman has the potential and power to be a positive force of change in her personal life, workplace, and community. Helping women achieve this potential is my passion. By building a safe space for vulnerability, openness, and healing, I seek to empower my clients to cultivate compassion for themselves and others while overcoming life’s challenges.
