Therapist Overview
I’m a Licensed Professional Counseling Intern with a passion for helping clients to create changes that will lead them to a more fulfilling and healthy future. I received my MA in Counseling Psychology from Texas Woman’s University. I have varied counseling experience working with inmates in a county jail, counseling victims & perpetrators of domestic violence as well as children, teens, & adults on various issues. I work with clients on coping skills for stress, anxiety, depression, marriage & family issues, self-harm & suicidal ideation, body-image issues, personality and career, & taking control of thoughts, feelings & behaviors. In addition to my counseling experience, I have more than 18 years of experience as a competitive gymnast, including a collegiate career at TWU. My time as an athlete helped me to realize that I could control a lot of my performance outcomes by making changes to my mindset & regulating my emotions. I now counsel athletes & performers to do the same. I hope to be a resource to help clients discover their inner strength. I enjoy working with individuals & families to improve the quality of their lives or are in need of someone to walk with as they overcome challenges, managing & coping with daily life. I’ll help you, yourchildren & teens find ways to enhance your relationship for smoother life transition.
