Therapist Overview
Many individuals have pondered going to therapy for years before finding a therapist. You are not alone! Speaking with a therapist and asking about the process is a brave first step toward working through these issues. I counsel youth ages 11-18, as well as adults, experiencing difficulty with anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, stress, body image, low self-esteem, perfectionism, and other major life transitions. My goal is to assist individuals with developing self-awareness, healthy coping skills, and communication skills necessary for growth and healing. My expertise incorporates evidence-based treatments such as cognitive behavioral therapy, trauma-focused CBT, dialectical behavioral therapy, art therapy, and mindfulness techniques. However, I believe that each individual requires a level of treatment that is tailored to his or her own experiences and learning style. The resilience, strength, courage, and hilarious wit of the exceptional individuals I have worked with over the years continuously sparks my joy as a therapist. I am passionate about creating an environment that is safe, authentic, open, and nurturing. Let’s work together to uncover the potential that is already inside of you.
