Therapist Overview
“A person’s a person, no matter how small!” —Dr. Seuss. Children aren’t immune to pain and suffering, and they often have trouble dealing with feelings they don’t yet understand. This can manifest itself into behavioral issues, difficulty in school, and conflicts in the home. Whether there’s been trauma, separation from biological parents, or they are struggling with life’s daily stressors, I can help. When working with children, my first priority is to build a strong and trusting therapeutic alliance. My primary goal for therapy is to work collaboratively with your child to identify areas of opportunity for growth and enable them to thrive rather than just “survive” no matter the circumstance. I utilize interactive play techniques and a strengths-based approach to aid your child in identifying their strengths to build confidence and self-esteem. I can provide a safe space in which your child will be heard, validated, and know that they matter. I work with children of all ages and backgrounds in a variety of settings. Currently I enjoy working in the community with at-risk youth and children in foster care. No matter the situation, I’d love to help your child! I’m currently accepting new clients.
