Therapist Overview
Have you ever wondered why a misunderstanding or hurtful experience with someone important in your life produces such strong, painful emotions? Do you have memories of past traumatic experiences pop up and bite you on a regular basis? Would you like to have more fulfilling relationships? If your answer to any of these questions is “Yes,” I specialize in relationships and trauma. Relationships are the single most common reason we experience strong feelings and reactions. If you want to feel close again to your significant other, and/or end the merry-go-round of chaos from traumatic memories of your past, we may be a good fit! Many of the therapies I use have attachment theory as their basis. Attachment theory holds that the attachments we formed early in life with our caregivers serve as a map for future interactions. If your interactions have painful outcomes, this may be your answer. I employ Lifespan Integration therapy, and Emotionally-Focused Couples therapy for your relief. You can expect me to be open and honest with you, and provide a safe, non-judgmental space for you to explore your deepest struggles. It is my goal to pace myself at your rate of change. I believe we are all wired to improve ourselves, and everyone has their own pace. If you are ready to take this passage to your new life, I would love to journey with you.
