Therapist Overview

CURRENTLY NOT ACCEPTING NEW CLIENTS: Growing up, parenting, marriage, balancing life and expectations are all challenging, and I am honored to provide guidance during these hard times. I have a passion for building up and strengthening families and believe in the power of counseling to help heal things that are bent or broken. I am a firm believer in the human spirit, and its ability to heal and strengthen through adversity. I take a Positive Psychology approach by encouraging my clients to make themselves, their homes, and communities a more meaningful place to live. I have worked with the family unit for over 16 years as a Special Education teacher, church leader, and mother. I have a background in child development, social-emotional learning, and early intervention. I am ECMHC trained to work with ages 0-5. I offer couples counseling with an empathetic understanding of the hard work it takes to move forward as one. I love the resilience, grit, and adaptability that children, individuals, couples, and families possess. I believe that showing love, kindness, and acceptance are key elements to facilitating change – and it all starts in the home.
