Another goal of counseling is to obtain healthier coping skills that work for you, and to identify unhealthy coping skills that may be hindering you in certain ways. Insights and skills learned in counseling are translated to daily life. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) working in Lafayette, LA providing counseling services to adults and children 9 and older. All counseling services provided are client centered which means you are the expert on yourself, and the therapeutic approaches are tailored to the individual client and the concerns they present to counseling with.
