Don Erickson

I believe in each person’s capacity and desire for personal growth and I believe that people have vast and often unrecognized resources for identifying and implementing solutions to issues they wish to change in their lives. My role is to facilitate the discovery of those resources through respectful and caring dialogue. The formal title for my approach is Rational Eclecticism which involves the inclusion of techniques from a variety of therapeutic approaches that research has indicated works well with the issues you want to address. I have many years of experience and training with some of the most notable leaders in the fields of grief and loss, childhood and adult trauma, suicide prevention, chronic anxiety, depression, relationships and all aspects of substance use. Our work will begin with a discussion of what you want to change and we’ll work at a pace that works for you. I’ve worked in a variety of roles throughout my career; therapist, clinical supervisor, teacher and leader in the development of both adult and children’s services in both large and small communities around the country. In all of those roles and settings I continue to be moved by the people we serve; their strength, courage, their ability to evolve and grow.
