Therapist Overview
Have you had depression and/or anxiety symptoms during pregnancy or one year postpartum? Perinatal mood disorders can feel isolating and confusing. I have a passion for working with pregnant women and mothers. Motherhood comes with its own unique set of challenges such as loss of one’s identity, work life balance, isolation, and guilt. I recognize how hard it can be to feel the pressure of being the “perfect” mother. Often times women do not share their personal struggles about motherhood for fear of ridicule. I create a judgement-free space where you can speak openly about their experiences. I utilize talk therapy to empathetically help you discover patterns of behavior and experiences that you have encountered thus far. With me, you will feel heard and supported throughout your journey of unveiling what you have been faced with in life. I will work to help you develop skills to assist you in emotional regulation and boundary setting. I care deeply about cultivating a relationship with my clients. Reaching out to a therapist can be a daunting task, however the long-term reward of therapy is well worth the initial anxiety that you may be feeling about the process. Please feel free to contact me for a free initial phone consultation to determine if we are a good fit for one another.
