I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in the treatment of children across a range of developmental stages including infancy, early childhood, school age, and adolescence, as well as maternal mental health. My approach is to build a partnership with caregivers, based on non-judgement and appreciation of diverse cultural values. Through the use of play therapy, I create a safe environment in which children can express their emotions freely, and we can begin to address any areas of tension or distress. During regular parent guidance meetings, we will learn how to implement communication and behavior management skills learned in therapy at home and at school. I am also available to consult with school staff regarding behavioral management in the classroom. My extensive background in trauma work has afforded me an appreciation for the universal experience of pain, both big and small.
