Therapist Overview

Anthony graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with a master’s degree in mental health counseling and is a licensed mental health counselor working in Orlando and Lakeland, Florida. He enjoys working with individuals, couples, and families from various backgrounds and experiences. He is passionate about caring for people and engaging the particular ways they struggle, including things like relationships, addiction, and trauma, in both individual and group counseling settings. As a trained Prepare/Enrich facilitator, he hopes to work with couples in their efforts to grow and thrive together. Anthony has participated in a Bethesda Workshop as a therapist observer to better care for those struggling with unwanted sexual behavior and sexual addiction.

Anthony counsels with the understanding that relationships are where we are formed, harmed, and ultimately healed. Life sometimes leaves us struggling with heartache and even despair. We experience hopelessness and confusion and may even question whether goodness is real. Counseling can be a place where hope and goodness are rediscovered and recultivated together through a sense of shared humanity. Counseling can be the journey we embark on together toward healing and regaining our sense of wholeness.

Anthony grew up all around the world as part of a military family. He is fascinated by culture and believes the things that seemingly make us different can also be the very things that serve to connect us. Before becoming a counselor, Anthony spent 14 years working in the architecture industry and 6 years in the Florida Army National Guard. In 2012, Anthony became intrigued with the idea of returning to school to become a counselor. Although working in architecture and serving in the Army provided unique and challenging experiences that he will always cherish, he wondered if his calling could be elsewhere. After a years-long journey, in 2018 he decided to shift his career path and become a mental health counselor. When he is not counseling, Anthony enjoys exploring new places and searching for new culinary experiences with his wife, Tatianna, and their son. He is passionate about design and anything that involves a creative process, like cooking, construction, or poetry. He also enjoys physical fitness and trying to play guitar.
