Therapist Overview
Do you feel constantly overwhelmed by the stress and heartbreak of everyday life (especially during COVID)? Does the pain you see at work, at school, or in your personal relationships threaten to steal your capacity for joy and peace? Have you experienced profound loss or trauma that makes it difficult to believe in any good in the world? Mark Epstein writes, “When we stop distancing ourselves from the pain in the world, we create the possibility of a new experience, one that often surprises because how much joy, connection, and relief it yields. Destruction may continue, but humanity shines through.” Is it time to stop distancing? As a therapist, I am passionate about working with people trying to cope after experiencing trauma, grief, or major life transitions. I often work with clergy, first responders, military, law enforcement, individuals with chronic/terminal diseases, caregivers, and individuals who have lost pregnancies and children. I also perform couples and family therapy. My goal is to create a sacred space for you to ask difficult questions and to say hard things, all while experiencing compassion and support. I am flexible in my approach and adjust my style based upon your needs. My hope for you is that you have a new experience, one that surprises you with joy, connection, and relief; that humanity shines through.
