Sometimes people come to counseling ready to bare their soul, and some people come to begin the journey towards being vulnerable. Levels of resistance and vulnerability vary, but they are both important to understand for each unique individual. There is hope in every situation. Everyone is on a different path in their journey, and I enjoy being chosen as a part of whatever path on whatever journey. I enjoy working with a variety of clients with a variety of issues, needs, and goals. I am trained in Level II EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) therapy, and have had experience utilizing play therapy, CBT, DBT, and many other clinical strategies. I am able to approach each case eclectically. I provide a client-centered approach and am adaptable to meet the client’s needs in order to create a safe and trusting atmosphere.
