I believe in the inherent goodness of each individual and that we all have a capacity for change and a proclivity towards resilience and self betterment. Maybe you’re not living the life you want or you have conflicting beliefs or conditioned ways of behaving. Under this is often a disconnection from ourselves, others, and/or the natural world. Every challenging thought, behavior, or habitual reaction has at one time served a positive function for an individual. Later, however, it may keep us hung-up, facing roadblocks, feeling stuck, and/or won’t allow us to live the lives we want. My role as a clinician is to meet an individual where they are and act as a guide in the didactic process of teaching, learning, discerning, questioning, and discovering while evoking the client’s own compassionate wisdom to facilitate the transformation process.
