Therapist Overview
Addiction and its accompanying issues make life a struggle for both the client and for those who love them. Those in active addiction intuitively know there is a gap between the life they’re demonstrating and the possibilities their potential affords – if they could only get out of their own way. My methods promote profound fundamental change: the shedding of self-destructive attributes, the definition of a clear, compelling vision for the future, and the tools clients need to implement strategies that will enable them to become the best possible version of themselves. I graduated with an Advanced Practice Master’s degree specializing in co-occurring disorders from the premier addiction counseling program in the world, Hazelden Betty Ford Graduate School of Addiction Studies in Center City, MN. I’m in long-term recovery, and specialize in working with the most difficult cases for those with ADD, depression, and anxiety. I have been where my clients have been, and have learned that everything we need is right between our ears, however, we require someone to act as a mirror to see the blind spots that subconsciously rule our lives. With new, increased self-awareness, we’re able to make and execute solid choices, rather than being victimized by our unconscious programming.
