Life can be a lot to manage at times. Therapy is a safe place to come and feel heard, understood and given tools and solutions that can enhance your life. Reaching out for support is brave and courageous- and I’m excited to be here to provide therapeutic support and relationship. If you’re a parent looking for support, coaching, guidance and intervention for your child or teen, I empathize with how overwhelming it may feel to find the right therapeutic fit for your child or teen. I can help, I love working with children and teens and families, to create a healthier system with each party involved in the change process. I utilize an attachment lens in my therapeutic approach and always center treatment on what each client needs. I am trained in Attachment Theory, Object Relations Theory, Trauma Focused CBT, Trauma Center Trauma Sensitive Yoga(TCTSY), Brainspotting and Narrative Therapy. I am LGBTQ Safe Zone trained and work with the LGBTQ community. Meghan Andrews completed her Master’s in Social Work in the Advanced Standing program at Virginia Commonwealth University. She has worked for the Virginia Community Services Board with at-risk youth, adolescents and families in the public school system providing crisis response, in-school Trauma Focused CBT and attended Individualize Education Plan meetings.
