Kristen Maria O’Shea

I love working with clients who are motivated to make change in their lives. I understand that it takes courage to enter therapy and share your closest secrets with a stranger. With a BA in Women’s Studies and a PhD in clinical psychology, I am trained as a scientist-practitioner and have taught college-level psychology classes for over a decade. I draw on the latest research to guide my interventions. I see therapy as a collaborative process: You bring the expertise about yourself, I provide the training and scientific knowledge to help you clarify and reach your goals. I want to help you become your best version of yourself! I provide individual therapy to adults from diverse backgrounds. My specialties include helping trauma survivors, women who have experienced pregnancy loss, and people facing financial stress. I use a goal-directed, strengths-based approach. Your time and money are valuable. We measure progress at each session and tailor treatment accordingly. Studies show that therapy works best when there is a good fit between therapist and client. In my 20+ years in the field, my students and clients have described me as warm, funny, and caring. I value the relationship we build and am invested in seeing your life improve.
