Therapist Overview
My approach to therapy is down to earth, compassion-focused and non-judgmental. My goal is to assist you to live a life that is satisfying, to change problematic patterns, and pursue a relationship with yourself and others that is infused with fearless authenticity. By exploring issues related to family and upbringing as well as problems with self-esteem, we can work to resolve feelings of depression, anxiety and shame in your life. Some decide to engage in therapy to work on difficulties in their relationships, or to decide whether to remain in or leave their current relationship. Others engage in therapy to work through old wounds with an aim to lessening the aftermath of such wounds in their day to day life. I have worked extensively with individuals with histories of traumatic events in their lives, including childhood abuse and neglect. Together we have worked successfully to lessen the impact of such histories in their adult lives and relationships. I believe that psychotherapy is the best way to solve life’s struggles.
