Therapist Overview
Effective therapy begins with the patient-therapist relationship. In my practice I create a safe space for patient-centered discussion surrounding life’s inevitable challenges. The foundation of my sessions is empathy, and from an empathic perspective I seek to guide clients toward finding their own inner strength in the face of difficulty, complex emotions, loss, and traumatic situations. Using a strengths-based approach, I can help foster understanding and resilience to move through negative experiences and self-defeating patterns into a place of empowerment. Although I have worked with a host of different populations over 18 years of therapeutic experience, among my specialties is child and adolescent mental health. Using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I create customized interventions that are tailored for each individual to help them develop new ways of thinking about themselves and their capabilities. I would love to speak with you and make a connection to build upon. Please reach out with any questions or concerns and I promise I will do my best to guide you in the direction you are meant to go in.
