Therapist Overview
As the result of my work with a wide array of individuals with a variety of different mental health needs, I believe true healing must be viewed from an all-encompassing therapeutic approach that considers the whole person. This includes aspects such as their identity/sense of self, upbringing, traumas, interpersonal relationships, personality, as well as their presenting environmental circumstances. Therapeutic goals include helping suffering persons to find meaning/purpose in their lives, develop more effective ways of communicating/connecting with others, and to critically evaluate their beliefs, values, and choices. I aim to empower individuals to develop resiliency to confront the realities of life, take responsibility for their choices, and to ultimately create the present and future they desire. I utilize a variety of psychotherapy approaches including but not limited to: existentialism, interpersonal therapy, REBT, ACT, and person-centered supportive psychotherapy. I frequently tell my clients that the ultimate goal isn’t necessarily to stop struggling as much as it is to enjoy life more and endure it less-let’s be real…life is hard! So let’s work together to learn how to build resilience and better navigate through the bad stuff! Please feel free to reach out to me-I am available to see all individuals ages 14+.
