Therapist Overview
I received my Master of Counseling degree from Idaho State University in 2014. I feel that it is important for a counselor to see you holistically, and that there are many factors that contribute to your mental wellness. I also feel that counseling is a collaborative effort between you and the counselor. Lastly, part of my counseling philosophy is to create a space that is warm, understanding, and nonjudgmental for you. With play therapy the aim is for the child to try something new that would otherwise be too scary to try outside the office. I have experience working with a variety of populations and concerns including depression, anxiety, grief, and career concerns. I have special interest in working with children and play therapy.
