Therapist Overview
I am currently working towards completing my Master’s of Arts in counseling from Adams State University in Alamosa, Colorado specializing in both Clinical Mental Health and School counseling. I am a member of the American Counseling Association and the American School Counseling Association. I have worked in a public school with children in preschool through grade 8 and sponsored a Gay Straight Alliance for students in grades 4-8. I believe we all can benefit from counseling and I look forward to celebrating and supporting you on your journey. We will learn and grow together. My counseling experience is with children, adolescents, families in a school environment and am expanding to include adults and couples. I have a passion for supporting LGBTQIA children, teens, and their families. I use a solution-focused approach with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT). I also utilize creative outlets through play, art, and music to work through therapeutic goals. We will work together to find the best path forward to set goals and meet them. Please bring questions or concerns to me so we can adjust and progress as a team. I want you to feel valued, comfortable and safe.
