Therapist Overview

Do you ever struggle with feeling disconnected from yourself, your values, or your relationships? How are you taking care of those parts of you that still need healing? As a Marriage and Family Therapist I work from a trauma-informed systems perspective to highlight different ways of being and interacting. My aim is to create a compassionate space that provides safety and allows for the process of healing for the mind and body with a focus on BIPOC and their experience with gender and sexuality. In my practice, this space can also be created during video sessions. In my work, I am mindful that we are impacted by Anti-Blackness, Gender Based Oppression, Capitalism, state sanctioned and other forms of systemic injustice. To fully practice trauma-informed care, it’s important to understand the trauma of social injustice. For this reason, I approach counseling from an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. Ultimately, I hope to bring people into therapy who have often been marginalized and historically excluded from such spaces. If you’re ready to chat it up (but not immediately cause I got a lil waitlist cause my caseload is full) and see if I’m a good fit for you, go to the website inked in my profile. Speak soon!
