Therapist Overview
I create a warm therapeutic environment where clients feel comfortable exploring their relationships, emotions and motivations. I believe that the personal difficulties we face are often rooted in relationships with significant people in our lives. My approach can be helpful for individuals struggling with a wide range of challenges, including (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and relationship difficulties. I approach the therapeutic work with a focus on emotion. I believe that emotions are valuable sources of information about our interactions with other people. Yet we often develop unhelpful ways of denying and minimizing our emotions, leading to anxiety, self-defeating coping mechanisms, and challenges in our relationships. I am not currently accepting new clients. This will likely be the case for the remainder of 2020.
