Therapist Overview
My areas of focus for therapy include the treatment of Anxiety, Depression, trauma, grief and loss, stress management, couple’s therapy, parenting skills, life transitions, personal growth, spiritual exploration and healing from religious trauma. I provide an LGBTQIA-friendly environment for individual, couples and family therapy treatment. I am an Experiential Therapist, which focuses on healing and change through personal growth and increased self-acceptance and compassion. Identifying old stories about ourselves that are no longer helpful, while crafting the new, healing and life-giving stories we long for is important for this kind of therapy. I also utilize principles from Internal Family Systems therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, Depth Psychology and Mindfulness practices. I have developed a journaling method for inner work that I use both in session as well as teach in journaling workshops.
