Therapist Overview
I have been in practice for over twenty-five years and have had experience that has given me the ability to treat most populations, children, teens, adults, and couples. I had the opportunity to work in a county hospital in Houston, Texas in Emergency Psychiatry for three years which exposed me to all forms of mental illness. I have worked with troubled teens from CPS and Juvenile Probation and in Geropsych Programs providing individual and group therapy. For seven years I provided individual and family therapy to office and in-home clients. While treating clients I not only address the presenting problems but also teach coping skills that give the client the ability to manage their emotions and to also manage most of life’s problems. I am able to treat depression, anxiety, posttraumatic stress, grief, adjustment issues, parenting, and childhood acting out behaviors. This list is not comprehensive.
