Therapist Overview
I identify as a wounded healer. This means that I understand the therapeutic tools that I use with clients on an intimate level, through both extensive self-application and careful application with others. Thus, my qualifications as a therapist come from many facet of my life, beyond my schooling, license, or any job I’ve worked in the field for the past 12 years. As a wounded healer, I have found my own way to sustained recovery and balance through a holistic approach. If any of the tools I offer work for you, then that is what matters. What also matters deeply is the trust we can build in our work together. I don’t carry any assumption of you having an illness or needing therapy for the rest of your life. I believe that you are reaching out to me because you feel I may offer support for you on your life’s journey. I aim to join you in your process and use my experience, listening skills, compassion, and reflections in order to best assist you. My approach spans from talk therapy and transpersonal therapy (mindfulness, spirituality) to DBT and expressive arts therapies (music, art, sand tray, drama). I also have specialized training in working with less visible experiences such as spiritual awakenings, hearing voices, and seeing visions. I look forward to helping you in whatever way I can.
