Children tend come to counseling because they are frequently getting in trouble at home / school. Among the emotional distress, I help individuals get in touch with their strengths and potentials. I have found that people tend to do better when they feel good about themselves and are reminded of their abilities. It is through these things that we can conquer our challenges. My approach is to help build skills and empower individuals to reach their personal potential. I have more than 20 years of experience in counseling across a variety of settings and services (community based treatment, crisis stabilization, private practice). I have worked extensively with issues related to addiction and trauma. My work has largely been with children and parents. I also work with adults on mental health and adjustment issues.
