Therapist Overview
I work from a relational, holistic perspective, where I support a person’s journey toward wellness. I take into account a person’s whole story, as I hold space for the dark parts to emerge and for the healing to occur. My approach is collaborative, as transformation takes place, and a sense of empowerment emerges. I have worked extensively with individuals going through life transitions, grief and loss, depression, anxiety, divorce, postpartum depression, mood disorders, personality disorders, caregiving, degenerative illnesses associated with aging, and inter-generational trauma. In my clinical work, I bring consideration of the socio-cultural background into the clinical practice. I’m a biracial therapist of European & First Nation ancestry, as I’m registered tribal band member of Long Plain First Nation in Manitoba, Canada (Anishinaabe people). I value cultural diversity, and have had experience providing cultural competent treatment to various diverse and minority populations.
