Therapist Overview
PRACTICE IS FULL AT THIS TIME. We all face challenges, adversity, and times of significant struggle in our lives. I will offer a supportive relationship as I strive to understand your context, relationships (past and present), and goals. We will work together to find new ways of relating to your thoughts, experiences, and relationships that move you towards your values and goals. We will consider ways of coping and relating that are no longer adaptive, as well as support increased awareness of the present-moment and your internal processes. asking questions such as, “what kind of person (or partner, parent) do I want to be?” My approach to therapy is founded on a developmental and behavioral understanding of youth, families, and stages of relationships. I believe that developmental and personal growth is a life-long process. Part of this involves assessing values, boundaries, communication styles, and even considering, “what kind of person (parent or partner) do I want to be?” I enjoy working with clients who want to improve their relationships and /or become more grounded in their personal identity. I believe that you are the expert on your own life and I am here to add perspective, support, and ideas of new things to try. I would be happy to talk with you by phone to discuss whether we might be a good fit.
