Therapist Overview
I am passionate about working with individuals & families struggling with everyday stressors. This could look like grief, depression, anxiety, suicidal thoughts, family conflict, interpersonal relationship struggles or something different. I approach counseling as a partnership where we both bring expertise to the table; you know yourself better than anyone & I am here to help guide & challenge you based on the goals we set together. Often times when we’re seeking counseling we’re looking for relief of pain or symptoms. My hope is that we can accomplish that together. With youth, I focus on working with middle school ages & older. My approach is less about using a specific technique for every person, rather trying to understand what each individual needs. I do lean towards seeing our relationships with ourselves and other people as important influences that have shaped who we are, how we make meaning of things, how we connect & how we move forward. Starting the process of finding a therapist & then reaching out can be a big step. It takes courage to ask for support. I encourage you to look around, visit my web page & don’t hesitate to reach out with questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
