Therapist Overview

As a psychotherapist I view my role as a consultant, not unlike other professional consultants. Utilizing clients’ inherent life skills and developing new strategies, I assist them in finding ways to work through barriers to growth. Often the solutions are not complicated, and often clients “know” what is needed to turn things around. I see my job as a listener, teacher and an encourager, because to make a change, even for the better, takes courage. I have conducted Anger Management Classes for over 20 years and have developed simple strategies for dealing with anger that have proven to be highly effective. Each class consists of four 90-minute weekly sessions and is offered five times/year. To register for a class call 616 940-0255, or go to my website, angermanagementgr.com. GROUP ON HOLD DUE TO COVID My clients have included individuals, corporate clients, professionals and senior leadership staff, as well as emergency personnel; firefighters and police.
