Therapist Overview
Almost everyone can benefit from therapy at some point in their life to gain a deeper understanding of themselves and to manage life challenges. Your child may be using challenging behaviors to communicate, and my goal is to help you identify the feeling or need underneath the behavior. You may struggle with issues that are getting in the way of relationships, home life, dreams, or career goals. Perhaps you just have a general sense that your life could be fuller or richer than it is right now. No matter where you are on your journey, I am here to help. Play therapy, art, and games helps children and adolescents feel more at ease with the therapy process and build a relationship with the therapist. These modalities help them learn about themselves and their emotions in real time. With adults I use mindfulness, awareness of triggers and internal dialogue, stress-reduction techniques and strength-building. My professional training and experience includes working with children (ages 3-10)
