Therapist Overview
The process of psychotherapy is a deeply personal, introspective undertaking. Together we will recognize the wounds, trauma, and injustices that have befallen you and begin the process of remedy, integration, and repair. In this emotionally safe harbor you can press up against your edges, your incongruencies, and your discomfort. Your healing will begin with a felt-sense of attunement and an authentic experience of being witnessed, seen, and heard. Your honed insight coupled with my empathic attention, and eventual interpretation and analysis, are all harnessed as agents of change. You can remove your maladaptive coping mechanisms! I have seen the depths of pain and shame in the therapy room. So often mis-attuned, damaging behavior is generated from an unmet emotional need. Our task is to identify your true needs and create a healthy roadmap from where you are now to where you want to be. I have compassion for your struggle and am ready to be your ally on the path of healing. I have a Master’s in Depth Psychology with Somatic Studies Specialization and a Master’s in Counseling Psychology. I have trained in EMDR Therapy, Sexual Addiction Therapy, and Energy Medicine. My research detailing how trauma responses influence sexual consent and fuel participation in dissociative sexual experiences was published in The Therapist Magazine.
